PKF Withers Tsang is pleased to announce that Graeme Carruthers will be joining the firm on 15 June as a Specialist Tax Consultant.

Graeme brings more than 35 years of specialist taxation experience, including a long-standing career with nsaTax where he was a Director between 2007 and 2022. He started his career with the Inland Revenue Department where he gained a strong foundation in tax compliance, disputes, and regulatory interpretation as part of the investigations team.

Graeme has worked across all areas of taxation, with particular expertise in tax disputes, offshore investments, domestic and cross-border structuring, tax residency, unit title body corporates, land transactions, and complex GST matters.  Graeme has undertaken numerous expert witness engagements in both civil disputes and professional indemnity claims.  His depth of technical knowledge is complemented by a practical, client-focused approach that helps businesses and individuals navigate complex tax issues with clarity and confidence.

Importantly, Graeme is no stranger to PKF Withers Tsang, having worked closely with the firm over the past 20 years on specialist tax assignments. This long-standing relationship makes his transition into the team a natural fit and further strengthens our tax advisory capability.

A member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Graeme is widely respected for both his technical expertise and his ability to explain complex tax matters in a straightforward and commercially relevant way.  He is an experienced presenter of in-house staff training  and webinars.  Graeme presents regularly at conferences and he has been a long time presenter to the CAANZ public practice special interest group.

Outside of work, Graeme is an avid sports follower, craft beer connoisseur and music fan.

We are delighted to welcome Graeme to the team and look forward to the value he will bring to our clients and broader advisory offering.
